Winner of a CES Innovations Award for being one of the best designed and engineered audio products for 2005, the Klipsch R-5800-W delivers a high level of realism and subtlety for an in-wall speaker. It features an 8-inch Cerametallic woofer cone, 1-inch titanium tweeter mated to a square 90-degree by 60-degree pivoting Tractrix horn. The pivoting horn allows you to point the sound where you want it to go, and it offers treble and bass contour switches.
It includes perforated metal wings that easily fasten to the studs via screws, staples or nails. Painted white for easy marking and placement, these metal wings can be folded around the edge of the studs if necessary. It's one of the easiest in-wall speakers to install, thanks to the Klipsch two-screw KWIC-Lock feature. The optional Klipsch IK-800-W installation kit incorporates a mud ring, breakaway wire tie, and color-coded brackets for easy speaker size identification.
